This seemed like an introduction to the characters that will appear in the rest of the series However, it was an engaging story and important to read as it sets the background for the series The two main characters, Gillian and Simon, had previous history and a number of things have occurred during the 5 years since they had seen each other There are dangerous times and heart wrenching moments I look forward to seeing how the series develops.

    15. This one was a quick and delightful novel once I turned the page I love stepping back in time with characters that are larger than life as these two are with some dynamic supporting characters Gillian is one gutsy lady for sure and she has the cunning and alpha character for a woman that makes for some fascinating reading in that alone but joyfully that is the cake and Simon was the icing A tale of how a plot must be stopped that would assassinate someone vital to them both and a country by the [...]

    22. I was very disappointed in this story although it appears that this is a setup story novella for at least one other book.It s not your typical historical romance at all there is romance, but it almost takes a back seat to the issue and spy setting.Overall I found the story not the writing hard to read It jumps around in time quite a bit, with the characters remembering their shared history, but I also found parts of it repeatitive that is on one page something would be said, then 1 or 2 pages la [...]

    23. I fell in love with Duke by Day, Rogue by Night and was so happy Katherine decided to write a prequel to explain how the characters got where they were It did not disappoint Lady Gillian is a strong willed Baroness who has many secrets and has a strong love for England She wants to continue her husbands work and this entangles her with the one man who holds her heart To see how these two handle loving each other but not being able to be together is heartbreaking at times I can t wait until the n [...]

    24. this is the beginning of the Series Nelsons Tea and it is a worthy but dark one the only thing which took away some of the pleasure is, that there is no real HEA for Simon and Gilian which is on one hand quite good, as this book was too short to give them real justice for their whole story, but on the other hand it leaves you hanging I really have to read the other books in this series just to get glimpses of both of them and maybe, hopefully there will be a full book for these two They deserve [...]

    25. Oh, yes, my Lord A glorious adventure, the beginning of the series Nelson s Tea This is a beginning, yet the main characters are relatively well developed The true misery of mourning a husband she already felt guilty for not loving is adding to the apprehension the heroine feels as she tries to prevent an assassination The hero, on the other hand, knows he has her love, but gave her up, and is now married to an invalid The story brings the two of them together, but serves primarily as an introdu [...]

    27. This was an intriguing novella It is cleverly written with elements of romance and intrigue that are well balanced The author was very detailed in setting up this world so to speak, with this being the prequel to a series called Nelson s Tea The characters are interesting, and well developed You can see my full review at More Than a Review dot com where I rate the level of sex, violence, language and drug alcohol use in books.

    28. 29. I received this book as a gift It was my first Katherine Bone book and for me it was a slower start Only because I am new to this kind of era book But once I was in a couple chapters it was all falling into place It has set me up to want to read all the books and see where this story goes I would recommend this book to friends
